KASEC will have several Paraprofessional positions open for the 2024-2025 school year.  Positions will be available in the Alternative Day Program (for students with behavioral/emotional challenges), the Communications Program (for students on the Autism Spectrum), and the Transition Program (for students aged 17-21 yrs).

 

Qualifications

• Must hold (or be able to attain) ISBE Paraprofessional license
• Must be able to complete Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training for verbal de-escalation techniques and physical restraint strategies
• Possess good interpersonal skills and be able to work on a team
• Have an excellent attendance record
• Flexibility and self-motivation
• Willingness to take direction and follow through on tasks
